BOXBOX brings scientific scrutiny and thoughtful design to everyday care, with a modular, refillable system built for life in motion.
NEW YORK, Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — BOXBOX, a new men’s personal care company, today emerged from stealth with a mission to make everyday care work better and fit seamlessly into men’s lives. The company is developing skin, hair and oral care essentials as an integrated system for use at home and on the move, ahead of a planned mid-2027 commercial launch.
Founded by brothers Chris and Riley Gibson, BOXBOX brings together Chris’s background in biotechnology and Riley’s experience in consumer products. Their shared ambition is to eliminate the friction from personal care for men who live their life on the move.
Scientific scrutiny in everyday care
Chris Gibson, a PhD-trained bioengineer, co-founded biotechnology company Recursion and led it for more than a decade, including through its initial public offering. His own skincare struggles prompted a closer examination of the evidence behind everyday personal care products. At BOXBOX, that scrutiny informs what goes into each formulation and why.
The company has developed its formulations from scratch, evaluating active ingredients against published human research, including the concentrations studied and the benefits the evidence supports. BOXBOX intends to disclose the concentration ranges of its active ingredients, giving customers greater visibility into how the products are formulated.
“Working in the highly-regulated space of designing and developing novel medicines requires you to question what the evidence actually supports,” said Chris Gibson, PhD, co-founder and CEO of BOXBOX. “Every ingredient needs a clear purpose, and its concentration matters. We’re bringing that level of scrutiny to the products men use every day, and opening up the work behind them.”
The planned range includes everyday essentials such as shampoo, conditioner, face & body wash, moisturizer, toothpaste and SPF. BOXBOX is also working with perfumer Craig Andrade of The Raconteur, an artisanal luxury fragrance brand based in Sydney, Australia, to develop fragrances alongside the formulations, refining how the products feel and smell as part of one daily routine.
Designed as one system
Riley Gibson, a consumer products executive and BOXBOX’s co-founder and Chief Product Officer, is focused on bringing those formulations into a simpler everyday experience—from dispensing and refilling to packing for the next trip.
The company’s modular, refillable system is designed by CALLUM, the design house co-founded by Ian Callum, whose work includes the Aston Martin Vanquish and Jaguar F-TYPE. Each reusable vessel is designed to hold a replaceable refill cartridge. The products assemble into a stack so men can take what they need, when and where they need it, whether packing them in a gym bag or suitcase, or taking them directly into the shower.
“We want the care that goes into these products to make your day simpler,” said Riley Gibson. “That means giving the formulation, the way it dispenses and how you pack and refill it the same attention. Every part has to work together to create a frictionless experience.”
Built in public
BOXBOX also today announced its partnership as the Official Men’s Personal Care Partner and Official Pit Stop Partner of the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team. Team members are testing both the prototype modules and the proprietary formulations, with their experience of frequent travel, long working days and changing climates helping inform successive versions ahead of launch.
The name BOXBOX comes from the instruction for a racing driver to enter the pit lane for a pit stop, echoing the company’s decision to partner with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team and the challenges of a global 24-race season.
BOXBOX will progressively share design details, schematics and glimpses of prototypes before the full reveal. Men will be invited to share their own personal care challenges and see how feedback shapes the products. Selected community members may also be invited to test prototypes or get early access through a Founder Series planned ahead of the wider launch.
“We want the people who will use BOXBOX to help us build it,” said Riley Gibson. “Tell us what leaks in your bag, what you leave at home and what makes your routine harder than it needs to be. We’ll share what we’re working on, listen, and show how that feedback changes the next version. The goal is simple: personal care that keeps up with your life.”
