CEO Brian Lobley discusses how aligning health plan and provider incentives can expand access, improve outcomes and lower costs
CHICAGO, IL, UNITED STATES, October 6, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — tango, a risk-bearing home health management company, will be featured on Inside Business Today hosted by Bill and Giuliana Rancic, in a segment examining how a different approach to managing and paying for care can improve access for Medicare Advantage members while lowering costs for health plans. The feature story will air nationally on Bloomberg Television (as sponsored programming) on October 9, 2026 at 8:30 PM PST / 10:30 PM CST.
The segment features CEO Brian Lobley explaining how tango combines provider networks, care coordination and value-based payment arrangements to help Medicare Advantage members receive timely care at home. Through its risk-bearing arrangements, tango takes financial responsibility for the services it manages and delivers savings to participating health plans. The segment also features Chris McDade, president of Medicare Markets at AmeriHealth Caritas, who provides a health plan perspective on improving access to home health services and supporting smoother transitions from hospital to home.
Demand for home-based care is increasing at a time when home health providers are facing significant workforce constraints. For patients, that creates a gap between leaving the hospital and beginning the care they need to recover safely at home. tango is working to close that gap. tango manages home health services for Medicare Advantage plans, connecting members with care while coordinating the transition from hospital to home.
“Health plans need predictable costs, providers need payment arrangements that support good care, and patients need an agency that can actually accept them,” Lobley said. “Our model brings those needs together. We take financial responsibility for the care we manage and build provider partnerships that reward access and outcomes. Helping a patient get timely care at home is central to how we deliver value.”
Traditionally, health plans use lower reimbursements or utilization management to control post-acute spending. tango instead rewards home health agencies on access, quality, and outcomes, sharing in savings it creates, aligning the interests of health plans and providers around the patient.
“tango is tackling a healthcare challenge that becomes very easy to understand when you look at it through the eyes of the patient,” said Bill and Giuliana Rancic. “If someone is ready to leave the hospital but can’t access the care they need at home, the entire recovery process can be affected. Their approach is about making that transition smarter, faster, and more coordinated.”
Today, tango is expanding its national provider network and health plan partnerships as Medicare Advantage enrollment and demand for home-based healthcare continue to grow. tango manages about two million members across 10 states.
tango places all qualified home health referrals and accelerates start-of-care timelines by roughly two days compared to unmanaged populations—an improvement associated with lower utilization and stronger recovery at home. In past partnerships, tango-managed patients experienced 28% lower 30-day hospitalization rates and 35% lower readmissions compared to national benchmarks, while achieving 98% patient satisfaction.
“We’re excited to feature tango on Inside Business Today because they’re addressing a complicated healthcare challenge with a very clear objective: helping patients get the care they need when they need it,” said Gila Stern, Vice President of Production. “Their story demonstrates how technology, coordination, provider partnerships, and aligned incentives can come together to improve the transition from hospital to home while also creating greater efficiency across the healthcare system.”
