Artera, the developer of multimodal artificial intelligence (MMAI)-based prognostic and predictive cancer tests, today announced it received Frost & Sullivan’s 2026 North American Technology Innovation Leadership Recognition for AI-powered breast cancer risk stratification. The recognition highlights Artera’s approach to translating multimodal AI and clinical evidence into personalized cancer risk insights.

ArteraAI Breast uses digitized routine pathology images and patient clinical variables to stratify patients with early-stage HR-positive/HER2-negative invasive breast cancer into low- and high-risk groups based on their likelihood of distant metastasis, without requiring a separate specialized molecular assay.

Frost & Sullivan cited Artera’s combination of scientific rigor, regulatory progress, scalable technology, and integration into existing clinical workflows. Together, these capabilities support the company’s continued expansion of its AI platform across cancer types.

In 2026, Artera expanded its platform beyond prostate cancer with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance of ArteraAI Breast in May and CE Marking in Europe. The test combines routine hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) pathology images with clinical data to provide prognostic information on distant metastasis risk. Its development and evaluation drew on data from six multinational Phase III randomized clinical trials, with performance evaluated across diverse scanners, laboratories, and care settings.

“As AI-enabled precision oncology matures, sustaining competitive advantage increasingly depends on scaling impact without proportionally increasing infrastructure, workforce, or operating costs. Unlike traditional molecular diagnostics companies that expand through labs, sequencing equipment, and complex biological supply chains, Artera built a software-centric enterprise designed for efficient growth,” said Ashish Kaul, Industry Analyst, TechVision.

“We’re honored to receive the Technology Innovation Leadership Recognition from Frost & Sullivan,” said Andre Esteva, CEO and co-founder of Artera. “Artera is committed to commercializing MMAI with rigorous clinical evidence to give clinicians deeper insight into each patient’s individual risk. With ArteraAI Breast, we’re building on our foundation in prostate cancer to bring these insights to more patients and help inform treatment decisions across cancer care.”

Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents its Technology Innovation Leadership Recognition to the company it identifies as demonstrating outstanding underlying technology, product and customer success, and potential to drive future business value.

About Artera

Artera is a global leader in precision medicine, leveraging multimodal artificial intelligence (MMAI) to personalize cancer care. Artera’s MMAI platform leverages a patient’s digitized histopathology images along with their clinical data to determine cancer aggressiveness and predict therapy benefit. This approach has been validated in multiple Phase 3 randomized trials across different cancers and is available in multiple versions across the globe.

Artera’s FDA-authorized software products include ArteraAI Prostate (de novo authorization) and ArteraAI Breast (510(k) clearance). In addition, Artera has received CE Marking for its prostate and breast cancer in vitro diagnostic tests, supporting regulated availability in international markets.

Artera’s flagship product, the ArteraAI Prostate Test, is commercially available as a laboratory-developed test in the US and internationally through its distribution partners. The ArteraAI Prostate Test is the first of its kind to deliver both prognostic and predictive insights for patients with prostate cancer, empowering clinicians and patients to make more informed treatment decisions.

Artera’s headquarters is based in Los Altos, California, while its CLIA-certified and clinical laboratory is located in Jacksonville, Florida. For more information about Artera, visit artera.ai.
